Unexpected Smiles by Nature

The Joy from Blooming
Publication of Discovery: Oct. 31, 2023
Issue: October, 2023

Have you ever seen nonanimal living organisms that seem to be happy? Have you ever been attracted to a particular plant that appears to be cheerful? We must say that we have. It was surprising to witness Mother Earth’s magically presenting such gift during a hiking tour in El Yunque National Forest area located in Municipality of Río Grande, Puerto Rico. We enthusiastically share the smiley plant life and other living organisms that grow in soil, which caught our attention in El Yunque Rainforest, as follows:

1) A red flower plant known as smoking pipe (Odontonema cuspidatum) in Puente Roto area in El Yunque rainforest,

2) Cyathea arborea tree fern (also known as Helecho Arbóreo or Helecho Gigante) in Angelito Trail, and

3) Light orange fungi growing along Route 988.

You may check this article’s photo gallery to observe such bright and happy Mother Earth’s offspring.

Whenever you are enchanted by a particular plant or other living organism, notice if something besides its beauty attracts you. It may be smiling at you.
