This rainforest is one of the most precious natural areas in Puerto Rico.
Due to limited parking area, prior reservation is currently required to visit some spots at El Yunque, particularly the trails and other areas accessed while driving on Route 191, such as:
Coca Falls, Coca Trail, Yokahu Observation Tower, Juan Diego Trail, Baño Grande natural pool, Mt. Britton Trail, and El Yunque Peak.
La Mina Trail is currently closed until further notice. You may check US Forest Service's website (www.fs.usda.gov) for updated information about other trails that may be closed due to maintenance works.

Reservation fee: $2.00 per car
No prior reservation is needed to access:
a) Route 988 for a scenic drive or to explore nearby areas, such as Puente Roto sightseeing spot and Angelito Trail (the area allowed for sightseeing and hiking),
b) Route 186 to see Espíritu Santo waterfall or explore El Toro Wilderness Trail and Quebrada Grande recreational area, among other nearby spots.

Every day: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Yokahu Observation Tower's Hours of Operation:
Every day: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Portal Visitor Center's Hours of Operation:
Every day: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
